Most Apple computers and laptops made after 2011 have Thunderbolt enabled Mini DisplayPorts. It must have a Mini DisplayPort capable of transferring Thunderbolt, or a USB-C port if you have Thunderbolt 3. You can use the display's Thunderbolt port to connect up to six peripherals, such as external storage and video capture devices, as well as multiple monitors.
The 27-inch Apple Thunderbolt Display delivers solid picture and audio quality in a stylish aluminum cabinet, but it doesn't come cheap.
